Assessment & Selection
The assessment and selection is a key part of the application process. We will invite you to attend one of our schools for an interview and task. This gives us the chance to assess your suitability for the teacher training programme as well as giving you a more in-depth opportunity to decide whether Learning in Harmony provides a good fit for you.
The interview will be conducted by:
- Two members of our teacher training team
- A representative from one of our partner schools*
* This might vary from school to school.
Assessment and selection days are held in a school in person. During the assessment and selection you will engage in two tasks; an interview and a task where you will script an instruction. The interview questions and details about the task will be sent to you a week before the assessment and selection day. This is to support you and reduce your levels of anxiety as well as enabling you to be prepared and have time to research and script your answers for each task.
During the assessment and selection there will also be an opportunity for you to spend time in a classroom environment which is not assessed, it is for you to experience an element of school life. There will also be an opportunity for you to find out more about the programme and the trainers. The whole process will last approximately an hour and a half.
Interview decision
When possible, we will give candidates feedback and a decision at the end of the assessment and selection process. All decisions will be posted on the portal within 48 hours.
