The Learning in Harmony Teacher Training Programme

The Learning in Harmony Trust, in partnership with national education charity Ambition Institute offers a first-class training programme in Southend-on-Sea for aspiring teachers.

  • Jane Cruickshank
    ITT Partner Lead

    Jane Cruickshank

    With over 20 years of experience in teaching and leadership roles within primary schools in Southend and Essex, Jane brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Throughout her career, she has provided mentorship to trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), demonstrating a strong commitment to their professional development.

    Jane's dedication to nurturing educators has led her to her current position as a trust-wide leader for Learning In Harmony Trust, where she oversees the implementation of the Early Career Framework. Additionally, she serves as a Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute and collaborates with the London District East Teaching School Hub.

    In her role, Jane delivers NPQ training to both teachers and leaders, as well as conducts ECF conferences and clinics for ECTs, Mentors, and Induction Tutors across Southend, Newham, Barking and Dagenham, and Havering. With her extensive experience and passion for supporting teachers, Jane is committed to making a positive impact on the education landscape.

    Lead Mentor

    Jennifer Muttock

    With over 10 years of experience in various teaching and leadership roles, Jennifer brings a wealth of expertise to her role as a mentor.

    Her background includes extensive experience teaching and leading in early years settings, where she has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement among educators. Jennifer is a firm believer in the importance of ongoing professional development to help teachers reach their full potential.

    Currently, Jennifer serves as a trust-wide leader for the Learning in Harmony Trust, where she collaborates with a team to implement the Early Career Framework. Additionally, she holds the position of visiting fellow for Ambition Institute, where she facilitates conferences and clinics aimed at supporting both Mentors and Early Career Teachers.

    With her depth of experience and passion for teacher development, Jennifer is dedicated to providing valuable guidance and support to participants in the program.
